“Released from what has held you.”
Forgiveness is one of the hardest and most liberating things a person can do. It does not mean what happened was acceptable. It means you are choosing to release the hold it has on you. God modeled this first — while we were still far off, he moved toward us. That same grace is available to give and to receive.
