Account information, if you create one, such as your email address and authentication data, used to sign you in and save your content across sessions.
Content you save while signed in, such as journal entries and reflections, bookmarked or highlighted verses, and your devotional reading progress. This content is private to your account and is not shared publicly or with other users.
Reviews you choose to submit, including a star rating and written text. Unlike journal entries, reviews are public and visible to other visitors, along with an optional display name you choose. Your email address is never shown publicly; reviews display as “Anonymous” if you don't provide a name.
Basic usage and device data collected automatically through analytics, hosting, or security tools, such as browser type, pages viewed, approximate location, device type, referral source, and general interaction data.
Technical information used to operate and protect the site, such as IP address, server logs, and diagnostic data.

Feelings or emotion-based inputs

If you type a feeling, emotion, or short prompt into a Scripture or encouragement tool on this site, that input is intended to help generate a relevant experience in the moment. Unmoved & Rooted does not sell that information. We aim to keep these interactions private and minimal. However, like most websites, limited technical logs, analytics, or service-provider processing may still occur as part of normal website operation.

Reading streaks and mobile app notifications

If you are signed in, we use the dates of your journal entries and devotional progress to show you a reading streak and weekly activity summary in your Profile. This is calculated from your own account data and is not shared with anyone else. If you use our mobile app and enable notifications, we store a device token used solely to deliver notifications you have opted into, such as a daily verse reminder. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings. Separately, if you turn on email reminders in your Profile, we store that preference (and whether you chose daily or weekly) and send a short email with that day's verse to the email address on your account. You can turn this off at any time from your Profile.

How we may use information

We may use information to:

operate, maintain, and improve the website and mobile app
provide account features you sign in for, such as saving your journal, bookmarks, highlights, and devotional progress across sessions and devices
understand traffic and site performance
respond to messages or questions you send
detect misuse, fraud, spam, or security issues
send notifications or email reminders you have opted into
display reviews you choose to submit to other visitors
prepare future site features, including advertising placements, if added later
